Crossrail Elizabeth line, London

The new railway built by Crossrail Ltd is currently undergoing the final stages of intensive operational testing ready for passenger service in early 2022. The Elizabeth Line stretches more than 60 miles and will stop at 41 accessible stations, 10 newly built and 30 newly upgraded, and is expected to serve around 200 million people each year!

Andrews have manufactured and supplied pre-cast terrazzo kerbing within 5 of the newly built stations which include; Farringdon, Bond Street, Whitechapel, Liverpool Street & Tottenham Court Road.

The black pre-cast kerbing involved complex bespoke moulding to achieve the varying profiles throughout the straight platform runs, angled cross passage tunnels and the curved corners transitioning from one to the other. Every piece has been hand ground and polished to perfection by our skilled craftsmen.
