Our commercial contracts division has completed two projects in London for the Westfield Corporation for its shopping centres in White City, near Notting Hill, and Stratford, in the east where the 2012 Olympic Games were held.
Westfield Corporation is an Australian-based British-American shopping centre company with retail outlets in the UK and the US, and it undertakes ownership, development, design, construction, fund and asset management, property management, leasing, and marketing activities for its centres.
It is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and has a shopping centre portfolio that includes investment interests in 40 shopping centres across the US and Europe, encompassing around 7,500 retail outlets and total assets under management in excess of $28.5 billion.
We were employed by Westfield to source and undertake 9000 m2 of perla di fatima stone tiling to White City’s new extension. Over a two-year period we provided samples, mock ups, sourced the materials from Italy and completed the scheme to universal praise from the client.
While completing the extension we also undertook the replacement of over 30,000 tiles to the existing centre as part of its refurbishment.
On the back of these successful schemes at White City, we were further employed by Westfield to supply and lay Jura limestone to the new food court area at Stratford.
